Let's Talk About Men

I don't think I appreciate my hubby enough. There. I said it. I want to give a shout out to my man.

Come on, ladies. You know we spend plenty of time griping to one another about the things they do that drive us to blog. I just thought it would be nice to brag on our guys for a change. Are you with me? If not, I hope you will reconsider.

My husband is Mr. Handyman. He has, almost, single-handedly renovated our home. He continues to work on it, even after 3 years of improvements. He is at Lowe's (as I type) getting supplies to add additional storage to our bedroom. We sooooooo need it. I am so thankful that my hubby takes the time to take care of us.

He is so smart and can be romantic, on occasion. For our 10th anniversary, since $$$ was tight, we decided to fore go gifts for one another. We did take a little trip to a time-share. It was awesome. Even though we didn't buy gifts, he took the time to make little coupons and he put them in a tin jar (because tin is the 10 year anniversary metal??? It is. He verified). There are various coupons that I can redeem whenever I want, such as: Saturday morning sleep-in; put kids to bed; make supper; vacuum; girl's night out; and others.

What do you love most about your man? Don't be shy. This is the time to brag. Oh, and let him know what it is that you think is soooo great. I guarantee it will make his day.

My man is also quite the handyman. He replaced the countertops in our kitchen and tiled our backsplash, and he built new deck stairs for us. I love that he's not afraid to tackle jobs that he's never done before.

You house is really pretty - he's done a great job! And I'm totally up for the 3-way convo with you and Lula. I'll email you my digits.

Sounds like a great guy you have there.
My husband is also handy, he makes me laugh, he is a great leader, he is creative, he is a great dad, and he loves me like no one else.

Well let's see here. Hmmmm

because he's everything I've ever wanted.

Yep that's it.

Well... Mr. B isn't QUITE my man yet, but close enough. There's about a million things I could say here about him, but for now I'll just say that he is the most romantic man I've ever known... ever more than my dad, and that's saying a lot!

Our houses have almost the exact same color scheme...too funny!

My man is a handy man, too. He always has to have a project, and he can figure out how to do almost anything.

And he is finally in agreement with me that I need to cut my hours at work, so I can be home more. I love that guy!

Great post. I hate male bashing (although I admit I have done my share). Much better to brag on the good things they do.

So looks like you better be sending me your address.

Congratulations!

Oh this is hard. I know this is crazy but how hard he works. It is crazy.

Besides the fact that he's cute & cuddly, Hubby does the laundry! I'm so not kidding!! I think my daughters have been spoiled--they'll be looking for that in a man, too!

I love how positive this is, because I need to be thinking happy thoughts.

Here is what I love most about my man... He is the kind of random thoughts of kindness. The other day, he saw a fire on the mountain, which was extremely close to a neighborhood. He drove on over and arrived there right as the fire departments were getting there. He spent the next three hours helping the firemen hose down houses in case the fire got too close. Then, when a storm hit two days later, he immediately went back up to that same neighborhood and helped sandbag. He doesn't even know anyone who lives there. He honestly is just that type of a guy. So tender hearted. I love that about him.

Thanks for reminding me how good I have it! And, I love that your hubbie did homemade coupons. That is so sweet. (Beautiful house, BTW.)

My husband is fabulous in ways that cannot be repeated here. I'll save it for yet another marathon phone conversation.

And yeah, I said this. Dr. Falwell is famous for saying, "If it's Christian it oughta be better." Darn straight. That's my husband. Uh-huh.

Among other things, I love that he will tickle my back as long as I want him to without a gripe. That sums him up best...He does everything for US...his family.. and He cherishes me.

One of the things I love about my husband is that he knows a little something about everything and he can figure out how to fix just about everything too! It's nice to know that he can always take care of us:)
