Okay, this is very random, but do you ever get nostalgic for your past? Last week, I had a hoss (80's word) time with a wicked (90's word) friend at camp. We mulled over some good ole tunes from the 80's and 90's and then I went to Lulaville this morning and lo and behold.......she's posting about random oldies. Boy was I taken back to a much "simpler" time in life. Remember "More Than Words" by Extreme? Yowsa!
Okay, the lyrics hint at something a little more risque than I had originally thought, but those boys could harmonize like nobody's bid'niss!
And what about "To Be With You" By Mr. Big? Okay, just makes me miss my big hair and double socks. Remember those? I used to buy a bigger Ked's size just to accomodate!
We took a long stroll down memory lane and thanks to her I-Pod, I was able to hear one of my favorites........
Okay, and I had a major crush on this guy and I used to sing this one in my mirror with my hairbrush as my microphone.
Oh, and yes, Billy Joel must not be excluded! This one is for my junior year crush....I was so deep and he didn't even know it!!!! Oh well, he missed out and my hubby won the prize. I love you, babe!
I'm still sappy, just not the melodramatic I was at sixteen. What are some of your teen favorites??? New Kids didn't make it on here, but they were always good to me....

"Girls just wanna have fun" of course and I used to practice baton in the road in front of my house to the Debbie Gibson cassette tape (if any young'ins are reading this, a cassette is a little thing that looks kinda like a video tape, a video tape is what goes in a VCR which looks like a DVD player only fatter.....) Now I'm exausted.....
Oh, and NKOTB rock!! I love you Joey!! (How embarrassing!!!!) I'm gonna go put my hair in a side ponytail with my bright pink scrunchie now : )
Your post encouraged Josh to look up songs into the wee hours of the night.
No Micheal W. Smith, Amy Grant, Whiteheart, Petra....
HA! I never liked Petra...what was that other christian rock band that was so horrible?
YO MELISSA-THANKS FOR THE BLAST FROM THE PAST------I WAS A BILLY JOEL FAN TO THE MAX--I GOT ON STAGE AFTER ONE OF HIS CONCERTS & KEPT A CIGARETTE BUTT FROM THE ASH TRAY ON TOP OF HIS PIANO-YIKES! CRAZY-STALKER FAN-----I ALSO GRABBED HIS SHOE LACE DURING A CONCERT---
Emily, it may be Stryper that you're thinking of....."To Hell With The Devil" "Honestly"....those were the days. I saw them at Night Of Joy when I was 12! How times have changed!
Jules, Do you still have the butt? Blogging fodder, that's all I'm sayin'.
You and Lula and your 80's music. Ugh. Too much pubescent angst for my taste. However, I do share your love for Howard Jones. He could never be tainted by teenage drama.
