Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Michael had requested a picture of our Christmas tree. So, I took a picture of my very good looking hubby in front of our tree, which is placed in the midst of the unbelievable remodeling he has done. Is he not the greatest!?

wow, what a great remodel. i think that someone has hacked into your blog, melissa. the writing style somehow seems different.
otherwise, great tree. glad you found room for it. actually, looks like there shouldn't have been a problem with room...looks like you all have plenty of it!
after jena, i'm next in line for my remodel!

WOW!! The house has really come so far since October!! I think Eric should start a remodeling business! The lighting is a bit puzzling.... hmmmmm

Eric never seems to quit amazing me. Looks like he's about done at your place. Does he like to paint? Send him over. I think you should have taken a picture of the kids in front of the tree with Daddy :)

yeah...that is a bit rude...just a pic of you in front of the tree.

my intention in getting up that early is to have quiet time, devotion and prayer before the kids get up. however... sometimes the computer calls out for me.

Jena, Jena, are you there? It's been a while. I miss you... Love, the computer :)

Okay, This all started because Mikey Mo O'D called me guilting me into having a tree. I know it seems unChristmas of us to not have one, but it just didn't work out this year. Trust me, we are not boycotting the tree thing. I just don't want to spend almost $50on a tree that will be thrown away in a few weeks.
The clearance section is calling my name after Christmas this year. A fake tree will be in our house next year, but don't tell my hubby. SSSHHHH......

That's it!! I am putting everything in the house back the way it was. I cannot believe Melissa has decided to go with an artificial tree. Oh well, so much for all the work. And besides the lighting apparently is not adequate either. No more remodeling for me; I am done :) ha, ha, ha.

Real trees are wonderful and I would love to have one but went fake for financial reasons too. Our first fake was a $20 Walmart one that I made last almost 10 years then last year we upgraded to one that wouldn't fall over. A couple of years Josh has usurped me and gotten a real one...I just have to quick on the set up. Can you believe all the comments? Great job!

What is it with guys and real trees. I think it's the "hunter/gatherer" instinct. Ladies?

Karen, I would love to think of an excuse to come visit. If I thought it would fly financially and calenderly, I'd be there!

is calenderly a real word?? i heard the computer from my bedroom. it called out to me while i slept.

Melissa said...

It's my word, okay? I think it should be a word. I think all words should have an adverb that ends in "ly".
I think you need to shut off your computer at night. That's kind of scary. "Stephen King" scary.....

Stephen Kingaly???

He he he.. that was funny : )
I definately think calendarly is a word. And I'm most impressed that almost 15 years after graduation, you still know what an adverb is!!! Holy cow!! 15 years!!! Where's my cane!!

Did they actually teach grammar at Boca High?

Melissa said...

OH yes, Boca High had grammar. Spanish River was the school without any grammar programs.

Yikes, Karen. Has it been 15 years? Almost... It does feel like high school was a long time ago. Another life....it's hard to believe the things you think are important at that time of life compared to now.

I asked if Boca High "taught" grammar. However, I am sure many a Boca High student "had" what they called "Grammar"; no doubt her husband too, "Grampar." Ha, ha, ha, haaaaaaa!!!!

I am quite sure they did, in fact. teach grammar. What I'm not so sure about, is if I actually LEARNED it.....
